Service Description

Eve Michelle combines her knowledge of Ashtanga and Pralaya Yoga. Ashtanga Yoga means eight limbs of yoga. Even though people often think of yoga as merely asanas (physical postures), this is only a small part of it, namely, 1 of 8 limbs. Traditionally, the asanas mainly serve as a way to keep the body healthy so that it doesn't become an obstacle to being comfortable in a seated meditation posture. A healthy body often creates a calm mind and the other way around. Therefore, in this class, we'll cover more than just asanas and explore all 8 limbs of yoga including yogic lifestyle, breathing/energy work and meditation practices. Besides from doing traditional asanas, we'll explore Pralaya Yoga which includes modifications to traditional asanas that are especially effective and beneficial for the modern lifestyle. It emphasizes the strengthening of relatively weak muscles and releasing tight connective tissue to support joint longevity. This promotes maximum functional strength and flexibility.
